Role Summary
The post holder will be responsible for assisting in the process of records management in the Health Records Archive store. The post holder will play a key role in the records lifecycle from creation to destruction. Their duties will be carried out safely and efficiently, observing confidentiality at all times. Attention to detail will be essential and high standards of data quality will be required. The post holder will provide support to Teams and Services across a number of sites as directed by the Health Records Supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Assist in records management within the Health Records Archive store.
- Support the records lifecycle from creation to destruction.
- Implement standard records management processes such as tracking, retrieval, appraisal, culling and confidential destruction.
- Use correct manual handling techniques to move boxes of records and employ lifting aids.
- Conduct indexing on a database before scanning records into an electronic document management system as digital images.
- Utilise IT systems to facilitate the conversion of paper records into the electronic document management database.
- Provide support to the Subject Access Team by printing and copying records for Service User Information Rights requests.
- Carry out duties safely, efficiently and with a high level of confidentiality.

Working Location
Based at Astra Business Centre, but may also be required to work across sites throughout the Trust.
