To support the provision of a community service to individuals with a learning disability in a defined area of Lancashire, ensuring health care needs are met and contractual agreements fulfilled by a registered learning disability nurse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of community services for people with learning disabilities.
  • Manage a defined caseload and supervise junior staff.
  • Implement evidence‑based and innovative practice, including positive behavioural support.
  • Work with individuals who have complex health needs, challenging behaviour and/or Autism.
  • Collaborate with other agencies within the Adult Community Learning Disability Service.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Registered learning disability nurse with current nursing registration.
  • Knowledge of health policy and legislation applicable to learning disability and/or Autism.
  • Experience supporting people with complex health needs, challenging behaviour and autism.
  • Demonstrated evidence‑based and innovative practice.
  • Excellent communication, adaptability and self‑motivation.
  • Capability to supervise junior staff.
