Overview
We are excited to be recruiting for a full time qualified Counsellor to work in our supportive team at The Mount. You will join our Talking Therapies team offering one to one, telephone and online therapy. We are open to flexible and hybrid working requests.
The successful candidate will be joining a fantastic team of PWPs, Counsellors and CBT therapists who work collaboratively to deliver the best service and outcomes for clients. Health and wellbeing of staff along with investing in our team is important to us. You will receive regular supervision and will also have the opportunity to attend suitable training events to support your professional development.
Responsibilities
- Provide counselling as part of the Talking Therapies service, offering one to one, telephone and online therapy.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of PWPs, Counsellors and CBT therapists to deliver high-quality care and outcomes for clients.
- Engage in regular supervision and participate in appropriate training to support professional development.
- Work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary, and uphold equal opportunities.
Qualifications
- HEE Talking Therapies approved training qualification such as PCE-CfD, CCfD.
- For Counsellors who have not yet gained BACP Accreditation, support the completion of this accreditation within the first 12 months in post.
Context and Environment
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision includes inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care. The Trust also provides physical health and well-being services in the community with partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
