LSCFT’s adult mental health services are designed to meet the holistic needs of service users/patients and carers in a working environment that supports staff development and wellbeing. Moorgate Ward is an 8‑bedded male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The post holder will collaborate with the ward manager and the multidisciplinary team, providing day‑to‑day clinical leadership to the direct care team.
This is a 3‑month secondment to the 8‑bedded male PICU at The Harbour. The role requires a flexible shift pattern, including weekend working, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, safe and therapeutic care for people with acute mental health needs.
Responsibilities- Provide day‑to‑day clinical leadership to the direct care team.
- Manage risk, support staff and work across professional boundaries.
- Contribute to service development and improvement.
- Provide flexible coverage, including weekend shifts.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse with substantial inpatient mental health experience.
- Strong clinical judgement and experience of managing risk.
- Confidence in supporting staff, working across professional boundaries and contributing to service development.
