An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Band 6 Clinical Lead to join Wordsworth Ward, a specialist mental health assessment ward providing high quality, person‑centred care for individuals with complex needs. The successful candidate will join an established and committed multidisciplinary team and will play a key leadership role in supporting clinical quality, staff development, and safe ward delivery.

This role offers the opportunity to further develop leadership and management skills within a supportive and forward‑thinking environment. As Clinical Lead, you will provide visible clinical leadership, acting as a role model for best practice and supporting the development of junior staff, including Band 5 nurses, Nursing Associates, HCAs, and students.

You will have a strong focus on maintaining clinical standards, governance, and quality improvement, using audit, supervision, and reflective practice to drive continuous improvement in patient care and staff wellbeing. The successful candidate will be expected to work across a 24/7 shift pattern, as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality care and treatment to older male service users living with dementia and associated complex mental health and physical health needs on Wordsworth Ward.

Key responsibilities include:
