Overview
ASSOCIATE PSYCHOLOGICAL PRACTITIONER (APP) – East Lancs Eating Disorder Service, Pendle House, Nelson
Specialist Network – Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust
A4B BAND 5 • Full-time (1 WTE; 37.5 hrs) • 12 month FTC – maternity cover
Responsibilities
- Deliver low intensity CBT interventions mainly focused on eating disorders.
- Offer interventions in both 1:1 and group formats.
- Work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team with professionals including psychological therapists, systemic family therapist, specialist mental health nurses, specialist dietitian and medical professionals.
- Receive regular supervision and professional support from either a psychologist or CBT therapist.
- Engage in service development and training opportunities related to eating disorders as part of the team’s development plan.
Qualifications and requirements
- Applications welcomed from suitably qualified Associate Psychological Practitioners.
- Must have completed the Postgraduate Diploma Associate Psychological Practitioner (PGDip APP).
- Post-employment DBS clearance required (enhanced DBS).
- As part of pre-employment checks, candidates may be required to pay for their own DBS check (cost approx. £55.50) with deductions from the first 3 months salary as applicable.
Location and team
The post is based at Pendle House, Nelson, within the East Lancashire Eating Disorder Team. The team is part of the All Age Eating Disorder Service covering Lancashire and South Cumbria with links to other locality teams.
