The Product Director – RX Web (Pharmacy) is a pivotal and high-impact role within the business. Acting as the central hub between customers, technology, commercial teams, marketing, and leadership, the Product Director will own and lead the product strategy and roadmap for RX Web. RX Web is a market-leading, web-based pharmacy system serving the UK community pharmacy sector. It plays a critical role in supporting dispensing workflows, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and commercial performance for pharmacies across the UK.
This role is responsible for translating market insight, customer needs, regulatory requirements, and commercial objectives into a clear, well-documented, and executable product roadmap. It requires a strong product leader with deep UK pharmacy domain expertise, commercial awareness, and the confidence to drive decisions, challenge assumptions, and lead cross-functional alignment.
The Product Director will have end-to-end ownership of:
- RX Web - A leading web-based pharmacy management system serving UK community pharmacies, supporting dispensing, workflows, compliance, integrations, and commercial operations.
While the initial focus is on RX Web, the role may expand over time to include additional pharmacy-related products or services as the portfolio evolves.
Key Stakeholder Relationships
- Internal: Technology leadership, engineering teams, commercial & sales teams, marketing, customer support, and senior leadership.
- External: Community pharmacy customers, pharmacy groups, industry bodies, partners, vendors, and other stakeholders across the UK pharmacy ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Product Strategy & Roadmap: Own, shape, and lead the RX Web product roadmap, ensuring it reflects market needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
- Product Scoping & Definition (Hands-On): Create and own clear written scope, feature definitions, and requirement documentation that sit between strategy and delivery.
- Partnership with Technology: Work closely with technology leads to ensure priorities, context, and requirements are well understood and deliverable.
- Commercial Alignment & Growth Enablement: Work closely with sales and commercial teams to ensure the product supports growth, retention, pricing strategy, and competitive differentiation.
- Marketing Enablement: Partner with marketing to support go-to-market activity, product launches, messaging, and competitive positioning.
- Stakeholder Leadership & Communication: Lead regular roadmap and product updates, clearly communicating priorities, trade-offs, risks, and decisions.
- Regulatory & Industry Awareness: Ensure product direction reflects UK pharmacy regulation, NHS policy, and industry standards.
