Permanent position at Southall Lane Depot with a salary of £30,479 (please note that once the NJC pay award is confirmed, a pay increase will be applied to maintain pay at or above the London Living Wage (LLW)). Working hours are Monday to Friday, 6.30am to 3.30pm.

About the Job
You will work as part of a small team and will be pivotal in the roadside collection of waste and recycling across the borough of Hounslow. You will be collecting a variety of waste streams including dry recyclables, refuse, garden waste, food waste, or bulky waste from residents and businesses. You will also:
- Ensure that all allocated works are completed within the planned timescales and that all non-collections are reported using the in-cab system.
- Carefully load material into vehicles, clearing all spillages made during operations.
- Return all containers neatly to the curtilage of the property.
- Assist the driver when manoeuvring the vehicle, especially when reversing, to ensure safety of yourself and the public.
About You
- Can speak and understand the English language
- Ideally have worked in an environment that promotes good Health & Safety practices
- Will be flexible to changing tasks and operating methods as the service develops
- Have experience of working in manual roles and outside throughout the seasons
- Be able to take responsibility and instruction of the job role
- Willing to provide our customers with an excellent service
