About the Job

As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our Leisure Centre, ensuring a safe, enjoyable and quality customer experience, with a particular focus and responsibility on our wet side operations. Ultimately, you will ensure all operations flow smoothly and help us meet our company goals. You will also be a key holder for the building and therefore, will be responsible for opening and closing the site whilst on shift. Our sites are open from 6am - 10pm so flexibility with working hours is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opening and closing of site and being first point of contact for any queries whilst on duty.
  • Supervise and coordinate regular maintenance and cleaning of the facility.
  • Responsible for the daily, weekly and monthly pool plant operations, tasks and checks.
  • Deal with any H&S incidents, accidents, safeguarding concerns & report on the management system.
  • Perform pool hygiene & safety checks.
  • Provide first class customer service to all users of the facility.
  • Address any customer queries or complaints.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • First Aid at Work Qualification
  • Pool Plant Operator Qualification
  • Ideally hold or be able to work towards a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
  • Previous experience of managing operations within the leisure sector, experience of wet side operations is ideal
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • The ability to communicate clearly, influence and motivate staff.
  • Experience of working within a Health & Safety critical environment with the ability to understand and implement legislation in the operational environment is essential.
