About the Job
As a drainage Operative you will carry out a range of Drainage duties including High Pressure Drain Jetting around the Borough to clear blockages and carry out preventative repairs.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Carry out repairs to drainage systems both internal and external
- Use our in-house Jetting Van for Jetting drains / Gullys to clear blockage or descale lines
- Clear blocked manholes and drains using either drain rods or High-pressure jetting equipment
- Clear blocked toilets and investigate issues
- Clear general blockages within a property including kitchen sinks, wash hand basins and baths
- Carry out CCTV camera surveys of drainage and provide report of findings
- Carry out the replacement of waste pipes and soil pipe systems
- Dig up and make repairs to underground drainage systems
- Carry out repairs to manholes / defects, replace manhole surrounds
- Where needed assist plumbers with digging up and replacing water mains
- Ladder Checks
- PAT testing
- To follow all reasonable management requests
Education & Qualifications Required:
- WJA certification or equivalent for drain Jetting
- Level 2 in Plumbing (Desirable, not a necessity)
- Previous experience as a Drainage engineer
- Preferably Previous experience of working within social Housing environment / Public areas
- Good level of communication skills
- Experience of working within a customer facing role, delivering an outstanding customer experience
- Full UK Driving license
