Join a Bright Future – Become Our Lighting Projects Coordinator! Are you passionate about lighting design and project coordination? Do you thrive on turning complex requirements into clear, compliant, and commercially smart solutions? If so, we want you on our team. We're a growing lighting solutions provider trusted by electrical wholesalers, contractors and specifiers.
We're looking for a Lighting Projects Coordinator to take the lead in developing high-quality, technically sound and commercially competitive lighting solutions, including value engineering opportunities that help our clients reduce costs without compromising performance or compliance. This role would suit someone currently working within the lighting industry, an M&E consultancy, or an M&E contractor's estimating or pre-construction team who is looking to take the next step in their career.
What You'll Do:
- As our Lighting Projects Coordinator, you'll be the linchpin between sales, design, and suppliers.
- Manage the technical and commercial process from receipt of enquiry through to proposal submission, enabling the sales team to focus on securing the order.
- Translate project briefs into accurate lighting specifications.
- Review lighting specifications and develop value-engineered alternatives, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and maintain compliance through product substitutions or design optimisation.
- Coordinate lighting designs using Dialux and Relux (Lighting Reality experience would be advantageous but not essential), ensuring solutions meet project requirements, compliance standards and customer expectations.
- Ensure emergency lighting compliance (IS3217/BS5266).
- Source products and negotiate lead times with suppliers.
- Prepare professional quote packs that win trust and business.
- Keep projects organised and on track with clear version control.
- Submit completed proposals and support a smooth handover back to the sales team for follow-up and order conversion.
You’ll Excel If You Have:
- Experience within lighting, electrical design, M&E consulting, estimating or pre-construction.
- Working knowledge of general & emergency lighting standards.
- Strong skills in organisation, communication, and technical coordination.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PDF tools.
- Experience with lighting design software, technical drawings, and quote/tender preparation.
You're the Right Fit If You:
- Bring a technical mindset with commercial awareness.
- Are detail-driven and organised across multiple projects.
- Enjoy collaborating with suppliers, designers, sales teams and clients.
- Love bringing structure to fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
What Success Looks Like:
- Fully compliant lighting plans.
- Making our clients' lives easier by constantly refining our offering.
- Sales team freed up to convert more leads.
- Clear, professional quote packs that earn customer confidence.
Why Work With Us?
- Be part of a respected and growing lighting specialist with a strong reputation built over 25 years.
- Enjoy a varied role where no two projects are the same, working across multiple sectors.
- Work with a wide range of leading lighting manufacturers, giving you the flexibility to deliver the best solution for each project.
- Take real ownership of your work and make a tangible impact on project success.
- Work alongside experienced colleagues in a supportive, team-focused environment.
- Develop your career within a business that values initiative, expertise and continuous improvement.
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
- 29 days annual leave, including bank holidays.
