We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our growing team as a Client Relationship Manager. Alongside a salary of £42,500-£49,500, you’ll have the opportunity to earn an annual performance bonus of up to 17%, recognising your contribution to both client success and business growth.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Client Relationship Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of owner-managed and family businesses. This role combines technical accountancy expertise with strong commercial awareness. You will help clients make informed business decisions while delivering proactive, high-quality accountancy services.
What you’ll be doing as Client Relationship Manager:
- Build and maintain strong day-to-day relationships with clients.
- Deliver proactive, high-quality accountancy services.
- Plan, prepare and review financial accounts within agreed deadlines and budgets.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and half-yearly management reports.
- Translate financial information into clear commercial advice for clients.
- Identify opportunities including tax planning, restructuring and succession planning.
- Work closely with the Managing Directors to improve systems, procedures and business processes.
- Support business growth through networking, referrals and community engagement.
Essential requirements
We would like to hear from candidates who have:
- Proven experience working in a client-facing role within an accountancy practice.
- Experience managing a varied client portfolio.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business owner challenges.
- Experience using accounts preparation software.
- Experience using cloud accounting software, including Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and time management.
- Proactive approach with excellent problem-solving ability.
- Professional, client-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure without compromising client service.
Desirable requirements
ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent practice experience.
Pay and benefits

Working pattern and location
This is a full-time, permanent, office-based role. Hours: 8.30 am-5.00 pm, with some flexibility. This advert is for candidates interested in our Carnforth office. We can also consider candidates who would prefer to be based from another Lamont Pridmore office, including Carlisle, Kendal, Keswick or Workington. Travel to client premises and other Lamont Pridmore offices will be required.
