Enhance and Broaden Your Skills
This varied role offers exposure to a full range of general practice nursing duties. You will assist with theatre and surgical procedures, perform radiography and dental X-rays, and deliver general inpatient care. Your responsibilities will also include conducting nurse consultations, managing the pharmacy, and supporting the team with administrative tasks. Whether you’re looking to broaden your skills or refine existing ones, this role provides an ideal platform for development in a busy, well-rounded practice environment.
Work with Modern Facilities
Our practice is fully equipped to provide comprehensive care and features a recently refurbished clinical space. Facilities include a dedicated theatre, digital radiography, dental X-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory equipment, and multiparameter monitoring. We also have separate dog and cat wards to support species-specific care and comfort.
Conveniently located in Murieston, Livingston, the clinic offers easy access to both Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as direct transport links via two nearby train stations-one of which is right next to the practice. Our location also provides a gateway to Scotland’s scenic Highlands.
A Team That Truly Cares
You’ll be joining a committed and experienced team made up of 8 vets, 13 nurses, 2 veterinary care assistants, and 8 support staff. We pride ourselves on maintaining a collaborative working culture where every team member is supported, appreciated, and encouraged to thrive.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within a flexible rota pattern between 8:00AM and 7:00PM. The role also includes participation in a 2 in 9 Saturday rota, with shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There are no out-of-hours or on-call duties, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
