The Role
Purpose of the role: You’ll enhance the delivery of complex projects through project planning at the highest standards. You’ll devise strategies and tactics to improve delivery, translate this into a logic-linked plan, analyse it with planning software, and help teams understand what to prioritise.
Your team: This role is part of our Project Management Consultancy team, focused on understanding project problems, implementing the best solutions, and developing scalable practices, tools, and technology. You’ll be part of our Project Planning Team, led by a planning discipline director.
Your top three objectives: deliver projects to near perfection, create scalable and repeatable solutions, and develop yourself and those around you.
Responsibilities
- Own the plan: Own the project plan for one or more projects, ensure the project adheres to it, mitigate delays, and manage commercially
- Own the outcome: Ensure the project team understands and focuses on the plan, even when faced with resistance
- Report and inform: Provide simple, actionable reports to stakeholders to improve delivery
- Make scalable solutions: Develop scalable and repeatable best practices and tools in collaboration with the team
- Develop everyone: Maximise personal and professional development of your team and educate clients
Qualifications
- A construction engineering background with at least 2+ years of experience on construction projects, experience in project planning (software and principles), strong Excel skills, and an interest in data
- Communication skills: proficient in written and verbal English with the ability to influence construction teams
- Leadership: proactive self-leadership and the ability to lead others by asking the right questions
- Impact: track record of delivering scalable, repeatable solutions with a positive impact
