The Role
Purpose of the role
Enhance the delivery of the world’s most complex and interesting projects through project planning. You will be a senior leader pushing the discipline to new heights within Laminar and the industry.
Your team
Part of our Project Management Consultancy, focusing on understanding project problems, implementing solutions, and developing scalable practices, tools, and technology. You will be part of our Project Planning Discipline Team, led by a planning discipline director.
Your top three objectives
1) Make construction projects deliver to near perfection
2) Create scalable and repeatable solutions to common problems
3) Develop yourself and everyone around you
Your five responsibilities
1) Own the plan: Own the project plan and ensure the project works to it, with delays mitigated and managed commercially
2) Own the outcome: Ensure the project team understands and focuses on the plan
3) Report and inform: Provide actionable reports to stakeholders to improve delivery
4) Make scalable solutions: Develop scalable best practices and tools with the team
5) Develop everyone: Maximise development of the team and educate clients
Must have
• A construction engineering background with solid planning capability across strategic objectives and context
• Excellent written and verbal English and the ability to influence construction teams
• Leadership: proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams
• Impact: track record of implementing scalable, repeatable solutions with positive outcomes
