We are seeking a seasoned construction planner to join our Project Planning Discipline Team. This role is part of our Project Management Consultancy and is focused on understanding real project problems, implementing solutions, and developing scalable practices, tools and technology. You will be a senior leader in our team, pushing the discipline to new heights within Laminar and the wider industry.
Your role
Purpose of the role: Enhance the delivery of the world’s most complex projects through project planning. You will be a senior leader driving the discipline forward.
Your team
This role is part of our Project Management Consultancy, which focuses on understanding project problems, implementing solutions, and developing scalable best practices, tools and technology. You will be part of our Project Planning Discipline Team, led initially by one of our planning discipline directors.

Your responsibilities
- Own the plan: Own the project plan for one or more projects and ensure it is followed; mitigate delays and manage commercially
- Own the outcome: Ensure the project’s understanding and focus on the plan, even when stakeholders are challenging
- Report and inform: Provide simple, actionable reports to stakeholders to help them deliver their part more efficiently
- Make scalable solutions: Develop scalable, repeatable best practices and tools with the team
- Develop everyone: Maximise the development of your team and clients
You must have
- A construction engineering background with solid construction project planning capability across strategic objectives
- Communication skills: Proficiency in written and verbal English and the ability to influence construction professionals
- Leadership capabilities: Proven leadership, coaching and team development
- Impact: Track record of implementing scalable, repeatable solutions that positively impact projects and organisations
