Job Title: Multi-Skilled Operator / Packing (12hr shifts rotating days and nights)

Reports To: Packaging Supervisor / Shift Manager
Overall Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to assist the packaging supervisor in the daily operations of the packing area. It involves protecting the brand, maintaining trust, and ensuring compliance with legal obligations by sourcing and manufacturing food that meets each customer\’s food integrity requirements.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Deputise for the packaging supervisor during breaks and absences, supervising daily operations of the pack hall.
- Authorize all machines in the pack area.
- Cover responsibilities in the carton room, palletiser/cold store, and bagging machines.
- Complete KPI updates in MCS.
- Maintain cleanliness of the working area.
- Provide thorough handovers at shift changeovers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, health and safety, environmental, and HR policies and regulations.
- Assist colleagues such as carton room operators, palletiser operators, and machine operators as needed.
- Participate in Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) training, promoting safety for oneself and others.
- Perform sanitation duties including shutdown procedures.
- Remain at workstation until relieved during shift handovers.
- Provide on-the-job guidance, training, and support to colleagues.
- Report and escalate production issues promptly to supervisors or managers.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors or managers.

Experience
Manufacturing shop floor experience, 2-3 years in manufacturing, supervisory experience, SAP/SCADA/Free Weigh experience.
