Description
Neilcott Construction, via Lencon Construction Ltd, is seeking motivated and reliable groundworkers to assist with drainage installation works on a London-based construction project. The successful candidates will support the safe installation of below-ground drainage systems while maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
Duties
- Assist with the installation of surface water, foul drainage and associated pipework.
- Support excavation, trench support, bedding, pipe laying, connection and backfilling activities.
- Follow site health and safety procedures, RAMS and toolbox talks at all times.
- Work collaboratively with site management, drainage operatives and subcontractors.
- Maintain a tidy, organised and safe work area.
Report any safety concerns, defects or site issues promptly.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, sufficient to follow site instructions, safety procedures and work collaboratively with the site team.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant groundwork, drainage or civils experience.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
- Ability to work outdoors in a busy London construction environment.
- Previous drainage installation or civil engineering experience.
- Experience with clay, plastic or concrete drainage systems.
- CPCS or NPORS certification for relevant plant, such as a 360 excavator or dumper.
- Knowledge of confined space, excavation and service-avoidance safety requirements.
- Experience working on London residential, commercial or infrastructure projects.
- EUSR or Streetworks qualification would be advantageous.
