About the Team

An opportunity to join a team of 5 dedicated Temporary Accommodation Officers working in the temporary accommodation management and move on section of temporary accommodation.

You’ll work as part of a team providing support and assistance to people and families facing homelessness and provide day‑to‑day management of temporary accommodation which includes nightly paid, private sector leased accommodation and council owned hostels.

We work in a fast paced and reactive environment where no two days are the same.

We work hard at building relationships with our internal and external colleagues to ensure a joint service delivery.

About the Role

Responsible for dealing with all complaints, including responding to members enquiries, emergencies, breach of licence issues taking prompt and remedial effective action and enforcement including conducting evictions and/or instigating legal instruction as necessary. Undertake visits where necessary.

Provide advice, support and answer queries via the temporary accommodation duty inbox on a rota basis.

Oversee the day‑to‑day relationships with TA providers and closely manage and monitor the contractual arrangements and their performance ensuring prompt and appropriate actions are taken to address noncompliance with contractual management arrangements and to improve performance.
