£36.75 and £40.42 per hour (2 rates)
Contract: Part Time (6 hours p/w)

About the role:

Lambeth Music Service is looking for a woodwind teaching specialist to join its team of highly skilled educators working in Lambeth schools and music centres.

Current available placement:
Saturday 9am to 3pm

We are looking for tutors to delivering individual and ensemble tuition at our music centre. These sessions, for students aged 8 through to 18 year old students. The learning focus is on specialist Woodwind instruments including Clarinet, alto and tenor Saxophone and Flute. As well as individual and shared lessons, successful candidates will lead large group beginners sessions – classes contain between 5 and 8 students as well as supporting our junior and senior wind ensembles.

Candidates should demonstrate:

  • Ability to inspire and engage children and young people of all musical abilities and backgrounds
  • Experience of whole class ensemble tuition to younger students.
  • High professional standards and a commitment to delivering to the music centre’s expectations

Successful applicants will be added to our team of sessional music tutors and will also be offered other work as it becomes available, which may include further whole-class ensemble tuition, peripatetic teaching at our Music Centre on a weekday evening or midweek in Lambeth schools.
