Employment: Full time

About Us:

Located in the heart of South London, Lambeth Borough is a vibrant community of over 317,600 residents. Our diversity is our strength, with more than 130 languages spoken, making Lambeth the home of the Windrush generation, London's largest LGBTQ+ community, and a thriving Portuguese-speaking community.

About the Team:

HR and Organisational Development is at the heart of how Lambeth supports its workforce, develops its people and delivers change. Our work brings together three connected areas:

  • HR Business Partnering and Employee Relations
  • Employment Services
  • Organisational Development and Inclusion

As an OD and Inclusion Consultant, you will join a small, high-impact team helping to shape Lambeth’s culture, leadership and ways of working now and for the future.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced OD & Inclusion Consultant who can turn strategy into action and make a visible difference to how we lead, work and serve our communities.

You will:

  • Partner with leaders to diagnose issues and deliver practical OD solutions
  • Design and lead interventions that improve leadership, culture and performance
  • Drive inclusion by embedding EDI in day-to-day workforce practice
  • Support major change programmes across the council
  • Use insight and data to shape decisions and track impact

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role—you will lead, not just advise.

To be considered for interview, your CV and supporting statement will clearly evidence:

  • Strong OD and/or HR experience in a complex organisation, with evidence of delivering practical workforce, culture or inclusion improvements.
  • Experience working confidently with senior leaders and stakeholders to influence change, shape solutions and support delivery.
  • Ability to diagnose organisational issues, design effective OD interventions and follow them through to measurable outcomes.
  • A clear commitment to embedding equity, diversity and inclusion into workforce practice, decision-making and organisational culture.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach, using insight and data to inform decisions, prioritise activity and track impact.

If you are motivated by turning ideas into practical action and creating measurable impact, we would welcome your application.

How to Apply:

To be considered for interview, your CV and supporting statement will clearly evidence how you meet the shortlisting criteria on the personal specification marked “A” for application.
