About the Team
Community Works is Lambeth Council’s in-house Direct Labour Organisation delivering repairs, maintenance and fire safety works across the borough’s housing stock. The FRA team plays a key role in ensuring that fire safety remedial works identified through Fire Risk Assessments are completed efficiently and to a high standard. The team works collaboratively to deliver safe homes for residents while maintaining strong standards of quality, compliance and customer service. There are opportunities within the service to develop specialist fire safety skills and progress within the organisation.
About the Role
The FRA Multi-Trade Operative will carry out fire safety remedial works across Lambeth’s housing portfolio, including fire door repairs, compartmentation works and fire stopping. Working as part of the Community Works team, you will ensure that all works are completed to the required FRA and BM Trada standards, while maintaining high levels of health and safety compliance and customer service. The role requires a qualified core trade, strong multi-trade skills and the ability to deliver high quality repairs in occupied residential buildings. A full UK manual driving licence is essential, as the role requires operatives to drive council vehicles to carry out works across the borough.
