About the Team: The Capital Studio is part of the wider Infrastructure and Capital Delivery team within Resident and Enabling Service. The team’s main goal is to deliver projects for internal clients, including Transport, Sustainability, and Parks, benefiting Lambeth residents and visitors.

About the Role: The role involves managing a portfolio of high-profile, complex capital and non-capital Highway Asset Improvement Projects, each up to £10m, ensuring delivery within budget, time, and quality standards. The post-holder will establish and work closely with extensive internal and external supply chains and stakeholders.

Application Requirements:

  • Project Management accreditation or strong knowledge of project management processes.
  • Knowledge of strategic business planning and service improvements in a council environment.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing and delivering capital projects, especially Active Travel and Highways maintenance projects.
  • Proven contract management skills, including managing delivery through Term Partnering Contracts, NEC, and JCT.
  • Strong financial awareness, with ability to report on multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Experience in writing reports and business cases, and presenting complex issues.
  • Ability to network and build relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency with management, project, and analysis tools.
  • Excellent time management skills, capable of handling complex work streams.
