About the Team

You will be joining a highly skilled and passionate team who deliver the Council’s contract scrutiny and cost management functions. We foster personal and professional development, offering opportunities for mentoring, continued learning and career progression.

About the Role

The post holder will work under the direction of a Commercial Manager, assisting with a range of cost management activities relating to procurement, forensic auditing, processing contractor applications for payment and preparation of interim valuations. The post holder will act as a commercial interface between service providers and the business and will assist with implementing commercial requirements of various projects/contracts, ensuring that the Council achieves best value for money expended.

You should have knowledge and experience of construction and/or housing maintenance contracts with expertise in the field of quantity surveying. You should have experience reporting on data using Power BI and creating cost models. Excellent numeracy, analytical and presentation skills are essential in order to concisely provide internal and external stakeholder updates.
