The Area SENCo provides specialist SEND leadership and support across a range of educational settings within Lambeth. The role focuses on enhancing schools' capacity to identify and meet the needs of children and young people with SEND, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and the SEND Code of Practice. Working closely with school leaders, SENCOs and multi‑agency partners, the postholder delivers advice, training and strategic support to improve inclusion, strengthen early intervention approaches and drive better outcomes for pupils with additional needs. The role combines both operational and strategic responsibilities, contributing to the continuous development of SEND provision across the borough.

Responsibilities
