Working in the valuation team at Lambert Smith Hampton is diverse and rewarding, with your work having a direct impact on your clients' business. We have a national service line from where you can draw upon a wealth of experience and knowledge.

An example of the services we provide includes:

  • Loan security; providing lenders with a comprehensive and independent report of the market and rental value of a property or an entire portfolio.
  • Alternatives; our alternative valuers carry out valuations for loan security, portfolio valuations, financial reporting, disposal, acquisition, compensation, property litigation, and taxation purposes.
  • Company accounts valuation; providing clients with a comprehensive and accurate report on the value of their property assets.
  • Diminution in value; providing accurate, independent advice on valuation in dilapidation disputes and in situations such as claims of negligence in conveyancing.
  • Fund valuation; providing asset management companies and investment trusts with the detailed information they require about their property holdings.

This opportunity: Lambert Smith Hampton is currently looking to bring either a new Surveyor into our Newcastle office to work as part of an established Valuation team. You will get the chance to work with a vast array of different clients ranging from property developers and investors to large corporate businesses, giving you a variety of interesting and exciting experiences. We have an experienced team of 5 Chartered Surveyors from recently qualified to Senior Director level with a healthy pipeline of work, offering the opportunity to advance your career.

Recent projects we have worked on include three retail parks, a city centre department store, a portfolio of supermarkets, a major industrial complex, several purpose-built student accommodation blocks, and residential development sites ranging from 6 units to 800. We also have some long-term projects involving dispute resolution cases, valuing and negotiating overage agreements, and onshore/offshore pipeline easements in the renewables sector, both for major landowners.
