About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and highly capable individual with proven experience managing multi-building estates or similar. We are open to those wishing to step up from managing single building estates to multi-building estates.
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estate & Facilities Manager to oversee the operations of Royal William Yard, a prestigious Grade I Listed mixed-use estate located at the gateway to Plymouth Harbour.
This flagship development blends heritage architecture with vibrant commercial, residential, and leisure spaces, offering a unique and dynamic working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with the client, client agents, and commercial occupiers.
- Lead the preparation and management of multiple service charge budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control.
- Monitor and report on service charge expenditure, identifying efficiencies and ensuring value for money.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, emergency procedures, and safe working practices across the estate.
- Proactively procure and manage contractors, ensuring high standards of delivery and compliance with estate protocols.
- Conduct monthly compliance audits and maintain accurate records.
- Oversee all contractor activities within the estate boundary, including issuing permits to work and supervising performance.
- Maintain the estate’s historic integrity while supporting modern operational needs.

- Proven professional experience managing a mixed-use, single or multi-building estate—experience with Grade I Listed or heritage properties is desirable but not essential.
- Strong budget and utility management skills with a proven track record of financial accountability.
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Sound knowledge of building services, facilities management, and estate operations.
- IOSH Managing Safely certification required; NEBOSH qualification preferred.
- Professional development in facilities, property, or built environment disciplines.
