- Planning consultancy; covering feasibility studies, preparing and managing planning applications, site identification and appraisals, land promotion and monitoring, stakeholder engagement and public consultations.
- Development consultancy; advising in scheme optimisation, property rationalisation and space utilisation, options evaluations and testing, financial viability assessments, valuations, funding and financing strategies
- Land assembly and Compulsory Purchase (CPO); advising on infrastructure and regeneration for infrastructure providers and property owners, advising on the implications and effects of a scheme on property values and acquisition under CPO, negotiating with acquiring authorities and claimants
- Public sector asset management; covering disposals and acquisitions, valuations, asset and lease advisory, property and estates management
- Town centre and economic regeneration; helping clients navigate the regeneration lifecycle, from initial strategic visioning and viability testing, to planning and delivery, then beyond that to investment and management strategies
This opportunity:
Lambert Smith Hampton is currently looking for a Graduate Surveyor or Newly Qualified Surveyor to join our Manchester within the Land Assembly & Compulsory Purchase team.
Our Land Assembly and Compulsory Purchase team operate out of London, Chelmsford, Birmingham, Manchester and Sheffield, providing a national service. The team includes individuals with a range of experience and abilities, including administration, project management and professional services ranging from apprentice to senior director. Collectively we work on a wide range of infrastructure and regeneration projects for clients including:
- HS2
- Lendlease Consulting
- Numerous Local Authorities including Essex County Council, Birmingham City Council, Liverpool City Council, Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council, Doncaster City Council and various London Boroughs
Projects include:
- HS2 Phase 1, 2a and 2b – strategic supplier advising on acquisition and compensation between Birmingham and Manchester
- Smithfield Birmingham – professional advisor in respect of Birmingham Markets for a major regeneration scheme in Birmingham City Centre
- Walsall M6J10 – compulsory purchase advice for a major road improvement scheme
- London Borough of Newham – professional advice in respect of Canning Town regeneration
- Doncaster City Gateway – compulsory purchase advice in respect of land near Doncaster Station for regeneration
Within the North there is also a wider PR+I function consisting of Planning, Development Consultancy and Masterplanning.
This opportunity exists for a:-
- A graduate with a RICS accredited degree ready to undertake a graduate surveyor position
- A newly chartered or experienced Graduate Surveyor looking to specialise in Compulsory Purchase
