The Lambert Medical Centre is seeking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic and hard-working Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive practice team.

The successful candidate will join the Reception Team and provide an exceptional standard of patient facing service to our patients.

Main Duties

  • Receiving incoming calls ensuring all are answered promptly and courteously
  • Booking patient appointments with various clinicians
  • Patient facing and greeting patients as they come into the surgery and dealing with queries/requests.
  • Performing care navigation to additional services supporting the practice
  • Aiding patients and the practice team with a positive and friendly manner
  • Contact patients when required and completing patient related tasks
  • Working within the team to ensure smooth running of the reception

We are looking for individuals who

  • Possesses a good standard of general education
  • Understands the role of a General Practice
  • Has experience of working in a busy, fast paced environment.
  • Is a team player but can also use own initiative.
  • Is computer literate and confident in the use of IT.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work to a high standard, whilst under pressure
  • Has a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a desire to learn.
  • Is flexible and able to work extra/alternate shifts for holiday and sickness cover.

Experience of working in General Practice is not essential as in house training is provided.

This position is a permanent appointment with working days being between Monday - Friday and shift patterns between the hours of 8am – 6.30pm.
