To provide support to the operational team by delivering competent SHE guidance, ensuring legal and company compliance, driving continuous improvement, and promoting a positive safety culture across all activities. Acting as a trusted advisor, the position helps reduce risk, prevent incidents, and strengthen the organisation's overall SHE performance by supporting the SHE Manager.

Some of the duties:

  • Provide independent assurance that site activities comply with SHE policies, legal requirements, and environmental permit conditions.
  • Conduct SHE audits, inspections, and compliance reviews across operational areas.
  • Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of risk controls developed by operational teams.

Environmental:

  • Support the implementation and continual improvement of the site Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001 and the site Energy Management System in accordance with ISO 50001.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve environmental performance and energy efficiency.
  • Support monitoring and reporting of energy performance indicators (EnPIs) and environmental metrics.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) essential
  • Experience supporting ISO 14001 desirable
  • Experience supporting ISO 50001 or energy management initiatives desirable
  • IOSH membership or working towards desirable
  • Environmental qualification (e.g. IEMA or NEBOSH Environmental) desirable
  • Experience in manufacturing / food processing / FMCG environment preferred
