Laly’s Pharmacy is a long-established independent Community pharmacy. We are looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist to join our team in Portsmouth. This will be a Maternity Cover position until September 2026 [potentially longer], across two branches within Portsmouth.
Work Pattern:
You must be a UK GPhC-registered pharmacist with experience in community pharmacy. We will also consider applications from provisionally registered pharmacists.
We have a very strong and loyal customer base due to our excellent customer service. We always strive to go the extra mile, and it is very important to us that our high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
Key responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medication accurately & in a timely manner
- Adhere to legal & ethical guidelines and compliance
- Ensure patient and branch records are kept accurate & up to date
- Identify opportunities for improvements & growth within the branch
- Build relationships within the branch and wider organisation, as well as with external partners and associates
- Provide various patient services, e.g., vaccinations & the Pharmacy First services
The ideal candidate:
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with patients and customers, with integrity & compassion
- Strong leadership skills are essential. You will be required to build good team working relationships, encourage learning and development and manage staff with the support of the Branch Lead & HR
- Be motivated to maximise the potential business of the pharmacy, through up-to-date knowledge, creative problem-solving & enthusiasm
- Dispensing pressure eased via our dispensing automation process, which allows more time for your Clinical Pharmacist role within the pharmacy.
- Opportunity for additional training within the Group, which is always encouraged, as we see healthcare evolving and skills dynamism is paramount
