We are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team at Lallemand. This is a hands-on role responsible for the maintenance, service, and reliability of all site equipment. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent engineering knowledge, strong clerical skills, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and adhere to maintenance schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage critical spare parts inventory.
  • Perform preventative, planned, and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Interpret and work from isometric drawings, P&IDs, blueprints, and other technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot faults, identify required parts, and carry out mechanical/electrical repairs.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers for equipment servicing and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, Feed Safety, and Quality standards.
  • Support site operations with flexibility, including occasional weekend and overtime work.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical/electronic background with strong fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and P&ID drawings.
  • Welding using Mig/Tig.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in instrumentation or engineering discipline.
  • Solid mechanical and electrical working knowledge.
  • Full UK driving license.
