We are looking for a dedicated, bright, and motivated Client Lifecycle Specialist to work in any of our offices, with excellent judgement and communication skills, attention to detail, and a real desire to be part of a dynamic international environment. Working as part of a small cross-office team and under the supervision of the firmâs Risk & Compliance Manager, the Client Lifecycle Specialist will provide support to our lawyers on all of the firmâs âclient lifecycleâ tasks â the sequence of steps that each client relationship goes through, from initial contact and onboarding, billing and collections, through to the end of the mandate/relationship, ensuring best practice in matter management. This role will suit someone either with experience in client onboarding and/or billing and/or collections, or a bright recent graduate looking to start a career in client lifecycle management. The position presents a unique opportunity to work and build relationships across the whole firm, providing a vital centralised and cross-functional service.
Responsibilities:
- Conflicts of interest checks, analysis and reports;
- Liaising with the Partners with respect to âKnow Your Clientâ requirements, and recording all relevant information;
- Creating and following-up on Letters of Engagement;
- Liaising with Partners and the accounting team regarding retainers;
- Opening and closing all matter files;
- Preparing and finalising all bills, assisting Partners and working in tandem with the accounting team to ensure prompt and accurate invoicing to clients and collection of invoices;
- Improving processes to ensure increased efficiency and accuracy in all client lifecycle tasks.
Your profile:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Responsive, pro-active, with a strong ownership of tasks and responsibilities;
- Proven ability to work in a team as well as autonomously;
- Excellent analytical and redaction skills with attention to details;
- Commercial apprenticeship, Bachelorâs degree or equivalent would be an advantage;
- 3+ yearsâ experience gained in a similar role and/or experience in a law firm would be an asset;
- Excellent written and oral English is imperative; French and/or German language skills a strong asset;
- Strong computer skills including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT) required; legal billing/file management software experience (e.g. Aderant) would be an advantage.
