We are looking for a polished, service-oriented Waiter/Waitress to join our new team at a specialty, upscale café located in Covent Garden. This position is perfect for someone who values artisanal coffee, seasonal food, and delivering warm, elevated hospitality. As a Server, you will play a key role in shaping each guest's experience through expert product knowledge, gracious service, and hands-on support throughout the café.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with genuine warmth and professionalism, creating an inviting first impression.
- Provide either table or counter service depending on the café's format, ensuring clear and confident communication.
- Share deep knowledge of our coffee, tea offerings, and curated menu items; making recommendations and pairings with care.
- Accurately take and process food and drink orders with strong attention to detail.
- Serve dishes and beverages with a focus on timing, presentation, and consistency aligned with our café standards.
- Support basic food preparation or plating to uphold visual and quality standards.
- Uphold the cleanliness, organisation, and overall ambiance of guest areas, service counters, and communal spaces.
- Anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns gracefully, and contribute to a seamless and memorable service experience.
- Work closely with baristas and kitchen staff to maintain smooth service flow during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Experience in specialty coffee, upscale café settings, or high-end hospitality is strongly preferred.
- A passion for learning about coffee, brewing techniques, and premium ingredients.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a naturally hospitable approach.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
