Lakota is one of Bristol’s most iconic nightlife and event spaces, with a long-standing place in the city’s underground music culture. We’re looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused Street Team Lead to help build and manage our flyering team, making sure our events are promoted properly across the city and that street promotion is delivered with energy, accountability and purpose.
This is a flexible, paid role working across Lakota, Moon Club, Coroners Court and selected wider projects where relevant. The role sits operationally within Operations, while working closely with Marketing on campaign priorities, locations, messaging, routes and performance review.
ABOUT THE ROLEThis role is responsible for both:
- Building the street team and onboarding process
- Managing and improving delivery over time
The first stage of the role will focus on:
- Recruiting and onboarding staff
- Testing systems and processes
- Running smaller-scale activity during summer
The wider recruitment push and active trial period will take place from September onwards once students return and the wider staffing pool increases.
RESPONSIBILITIESSetup & onboarding
- Recruit and build an initial street team
- Reach out to warm leads and source new candidates
- Plan and run onboarding session(s) at the club
- Train staff on:
- Locations and routes
- Communication and approach
- Expectations and standards
- Process requirements (Strava, forms, verification etc.)
- Introduce incentives, perks and team culture
- Filter out unreliable or unsuitable staff early
Ongoing role
- Fill and manage flyering shifts
- Maintain staff quality and reliability
- Ensure all staff are properly briefed
- Review post-shift submissions and verification
- Maintain tracking and reporting systems
- Work with Marketing to improve routes, locations and timings
- Carry out occasional spot checks on active shifts to ensure delivery standards are being met
- Provide live feedback and coaching to staff where needed
- Help build a positive and motivated team culture through recognition, incentives and rewards
- Flag operational, safety or staffing issues where needed
- Organised and reliable
- Proactive and hands-on
- Comfortable giving feedback and maintaining standards across a team
- Comfortable working within nightlife and event environments
- Interested in music, culture and Bristol nightlife
- Comfortable using basic digital tools and admin systems
- Must have access to their own laptop for scheduling, tracking, reporting and communication
- Experience in events, promotions, nightlife or hospitality is helpful, but not essential. We care more about attitude, initiative, communication and reliability than formal experience.

Summer setup phase: Approx. 20–30 hours across onboarding, recruitment and systems setup.
Ongoing role: Baseline: 8 hours per week. Additional hours during peak periods only and agreed in advance. Peak periods may include: Freshers, Halloween, Block Party.

TRIAL STRUCTUREThis role is being introduced on an initial paid trial basis so we can test the structure, systems and operational value before committing to it as a longer-term role.
- Summer: Setup, recruitment, onboarding and systems testing, with smaller-scale activity delivered by a core group.
- September: Main recruitment push and onboarding once students return and the wider staffing pool increases.
- Active Trial: A 4–6 week active trial period will begin once the wider street team is operational. Continuation of the role beyond the trial period will depend on delivery, reliability, accountability, operational value and overall effectiveness.
