What the Day Will Look Like

As a Business Development Manager at Aon Credit Solutions (ACS), you will play a pivotal role in driving growth within the Trade Credit market. On a daily basis, you will utilise Aon\’s extensive network to build a self-generated pipeline and contribute to the ACS sales strategy.

Your responsibilities will include promoting ACS within Aon, representing ACS in the insurance market, and exploring cross-selling opportunities. In this role the Broker will add value to future clients through strong negotiation and making recommendations that align with the Clients requirements.

  • Pipeline Development:
  • Build a self-generated pipeline using opportunities within ACS and Aon\’s wider network to drive new business development.
  • Utilize \’Aon Connect\’ to manage your pipeline and new opportunities
  • Promotion and Representation:
    • Proactively promote ACS within Aon and represent ACS professionally in the insurance market.
  • Sales Strategy Contribution:
    • Contribute to ACS sales strategy, build relationships across Aon, and explore cross-selling opportunities.
  • Prospect Management and Understanding:
    • Manage prospect sales cycles and coordinate prospect activity to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers.
    • Understand prospect industries and risks, identifying client needs and matching them with Aon
  • Value Articulation and Negotiation:
    • Articulate the value delivered by Aon and lead market negotiations successfully.
  • Industry Awareness:
    • Stay informed on industry trends and economic conditions.
  • Risk Financing Strategies:
    • Develop risk financing strategies, including program design and marketing, to meet prospect needs.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and business procedures.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    • Consistent track record in B2B sales and new business development
    • Experience in the Trade Credit market or related finance/insurance markets is preferable but not essential
    • Strong business acumen and ability to close self-generated opportunities
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills
    • Ambition, drive, and flexibility to achieve individual and team goals
    • Ability to utilize insurance industry IT systems efficiently
    • Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation
