The predicted salary is between 73000 - 83000 £ per year.
Salary: £85,000 - £95,000 FTE, based on 9 sessions (8 clinical and 1 CPD) per week.
6 weeks annual leave per year plus CPD pro-rata in line with BMA model contract.
Working either in a Doctor First or face to face system depending on applicant preference and experience.

Main duties of the job:
- Undertake all normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
- Make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries, paperwork, referrals, and correspondence in a timely manner.
- Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems.
- Assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients.
- Provide counselling and health education.
- Admit or discharge patients from the caseload and refer to other care providers as appropriate.
- Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.

Job responsibilities:
The salaried GP will be responsible for delivering the full range of primary care services as part of the practice, ensuring the highest standards of care for the differing needs of our patient population. The salaried GP will work closely with the practice's multi-disciplinary team of other GPs, nurses, and non-clinical staff to provide a high quality and accessible service to patients.

Experience:
- Demonstrate ongoing personal and practice development.
- Deal with sensitive information in a tactful way.
- Willing to successfully complete appropriate training for appraisal and remain up to date with the developing GP Appraisal, relicensing, and revalidation agenda.
- Discuss difficult areas sensitively and diplomatically with patients.
- Use of SystmOne Clinical database.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, face to face, and active listening skills.
- Recognise people's needs for alternative methods of communication and respond accordingly.
- Computer skills; Microsoft Word and e-mail.
Qualifications:
- Eligible to work in General Practice in the NHS.
- Experience as a GP educator.
- Experience of appraisal in practice or other setting.
- Additional clinical skills beyond general practice.
