Our dispensary is a busy and rewarding environment, supporting patients who live outside Oundle. We also provide compliance aids (dossett boxes) for patients who need additional support managing their medication. As a dispenser, you will play an important role in reviewing medication at a basic level (DRUM checks), supporting safe prescribing and patient care. This post is a 26.25 hour per week vacancy.

Main duties of the job:
- Dispensing prescriptions safely and accurately
- Ordering, receiving, and managing stock levels
- Assisting patients with prescription queries
- Ensuring all medicines are stored correctly, including controlled drugs and refrigerated items
- Handling prescription charges and processing FP10 forms
- Ensuring prescriptions are correctly endorsed and submitted for reimbursement
- Prioritising and managing workload effectively
You will also contribute to wider dispensary projects across Lakeside when required.
Qualifications:
- Good standard of education
- NVQ2 Dispensing
Experience:
- Customer Service Skills
- Experience of working as a Dispenser within a GP Surgery
- Experience of working in a busy & multi-functional team
- Knowledge of using SystmOne (Clinical database)
- A minimum of three years' experience in a customer facing environment
- Experience of handling confidential information and data
Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
