Are you an experienced Registered Manager or aspiring Deputy Manager looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact while being supported by a warm, close-knit team? Lakes Home Care is a small, caring domiciliary care company based in Kendal, proudly serving adults across the South Lakes. With a dedicated team of 14 staff (equivalent of 7 full time staff), we’re known for our compassionate, person-centred approach to care, whether at home or out and about in the community. We’re now seeking a confident and passionate Registered Manager to help lead our next phase of growth. This role is ideal for someone with experience managing in a care setting who’s excited to shape and expand a high-quality service.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of our domiciliary care services
  • Lead, support and inspire a dedicated team, ensuring a positive, nurturing workplace culture
  • Deliver and maintain outstanding person-centred care in line with CQC requirements
  • Develop care plans, risk assessments and other relevant documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative standards
  • Submit reports to relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., CQC, safeguarding authorities)
  • Play a key role in growing the business, helping us expand while protecting the values that make us unique
  • Help train and mentor new members of the management team to build strong internal leadership
  • Participate in on-call duties and deliver hands-on care where needed

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • At least 1 year’s experience as a Registered Manager in domiciliary care, or experience in a similar role.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care, or a willingness to work towards it
  • Strong knowledge of care regulations and compliance
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and grow a team
  • Excellent communication, organisational and digital skills (e.g., SOPs, online filing, care systems)
  • A passion for high-quality, person-centred care
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
