Overview

Lakera, a Check Point Company, is seeking a Solutions Engineering Manager to build and lead a high‑performing Solutions Engineering team as we scale. This is a player‑coach role where you will combine hands‑on engagement in strategic deals with team leadership and development. As we expand our global footprint, you will define the culture, standards, and technical excellence of the function while shaping Lakera’s go‑to‑market strategy worldwide.

What You’ll Do

  • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing Solutions Engineering team globally.
  • Act as a player‑coach by directly supporting strategic enterprise deals as the senior technical point of contact.
  • Own and refine the technical pre‑sales process, including discovery, solution design, demonstrations, and proof‑of‑concepts.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to drive pipeline growth, improve win rates, and shorten sales cycles.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and long‑term customer value realization.
  • Establish scalable playbooks, documentation, and best practices for pre‑sales and early post‑sales workflows.
  • Work with Product and Engineering to translate customer and field feedback into roadmap priorities.
  • Support complex implementations by guiding architecture decisions across customer environments (e.g., cloud, security, AI infrastructure).
  • Track and improve key performance metrics across the Solutions Engineering function.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or similar customer‑facing technical roles.
  • Experience managing or mentoring technical teams, with a strong interest in people leadership and team development.
  • Proven experience working with enterprise customers and complex, multi‑stakeholder sales processes.
  • Strong technical background, including proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript ecosystems.
  • Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure); familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise security, compliance, and IT procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Experience building or improving processes in a fast‑growing, ambiguous environment.
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to completion.
  • Passion for AI and a commitment to its secure and responsible deployment.
