Laker BMS provides building maintenance and refurbishment services to social housing providers and local authorities throughout the Midlands and South. We are looking for both full time and part time administrators to join our small friendly team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. The role is office based.
It would be 42.5 hours a week (8am to 5.00pm, 5 days a week, Mon-Fri). Rate of pay from £25k - £27k p.a. full time, pro-rated for reduced hours, subject to experience. 21 days holiday + bank holidays, and company pension.
Duties would include, but not limited to:
- To deal efficiently and in a professional manner with all customer enquiries
- Raising and scheduling jobs, and diary planning via our job management system
- Liaising with multiple clients
- Dealing with customer enquiries via telephone and email
- Raising purchase orders for materials and subcontractors
- Invoicing and service tracking
Required skills:
- Strong administration experience within a busy office environment
- Highly organised and confident
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to manage your own workload
- Strong computer literacy – Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Previous experience with a responsive maintenance and heating company (desired but not essential)
Ability to commute/relocate: Birmingham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
