Lakeland has been around for more than 50 years because our products are a cut above the rest. And our colleagues are the same. Work with us and you will be joining a team with a passion for sharing the joy that our products bring. Already a Lakeland customer? You will understand what we mean. There will be the support of a great team so you can focus on getting our customers excited about the little things that make our exclusive ranges unrivalled. You will also be in for some great benefits including some amazing colleague discounts – just remember to share your love of our products with each customer you meet.
We are looking for a Retail Colleague (that’s our name for a Retail Assistant at Lakeland) and as a Retail Colleague you won’t just be helping customers visiting our store – you will be bringing a bit of theatre to the retail experience with your special brand of enthusiasm. You will be someone who not only loves our products but who lives them in their daily life: who might use our utensils to prepare breakfast before going to work, sell them all day, and then use them again at home in the evening. Armed with this kind of lived-in knowledge, our Retail Colleagues bring our products to life for our customers so they can see their unique benefits for themselves. As you may have gathered, this isn’t a role for those who want to mind their own business and blend into the background – we want people for whom all the store’s a stage and who will put our products in the lead role. If that’s you, this is your big break.
Founded in the early 60s, with the same strong values of quality and customer care now as when we first started. From selling plastic bags for home freezing from the Rayner family garage in Windermere, to over 4000 kitchen and home products today, Lakeland has grown to the extent that we now send out thousands of parcels a day from our Kendal despatch centre, and we have stores nationwide, stretching from Aberdeen to Exeter, with more in the pipeline.
There are many benefits to being part of the Lakeland team. Other than being part of a huge and happy working family, our colleagues are rewarded with a competitive salary and a group personal pension plan. There are 29 days’ paid holiday (including bank holidays) and generous discounts on our products. We offer a great retail environment, and the chance to be part of a team who like to work and socialise together.
