Ballyrashane Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. The Group's Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.
Applications are invited for multiple positions at our Ballyrashane site. Our Process & Intake Operator will be responsible for delivering production targets and meeting customer demands on time and in full, ensuring that Food safety, Quality, Health & Safety and all operating procedures are adhered to at all times to the highest standard and in line with the company's food safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out required duties within production departments, ensuring that work is performed in accordance with the appropriate work instructions and cleaning instructions.
- Ensure that the work area is kept clean and tidy, operating a clean as you go policy and reporting any spillages so that these can be dealt with in the correct and timely manner.
- Ensure at all times that all production records are completed on a real time basis to ensure traceability.
- Demonstrate high personal standards in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
- Where applicable, adhere to the HACCP system for control of product safety, legality, traceability and quality.
- Work in a collaborative manner with all functions on site.
- Ensure effective communication with fellow team members and others as appropriate.
- Escalate issues to Supervisor/senior team member as appropriate.
- Support the programme of work to help deliver zero harm i.e. no accidents.
- Ensure that any accidents that occur are dealt with swiftly and support the supervisors and senior team members with accident investigations.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies.
- Develop own performance by completing relevant learning and development activities.
Who are we looking for?
We invite applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic people to work as Dairy Operators within our Production Operation with opportunities available in various departments working across various shift patterns at our Ballyrashane site. This is a very exciting time to join the company. Roles are available across our manufacturing site in the areas of Intake & Process (both variable shift patterns). All roles will also involve manual lifting, completing production/cleaning records and maintaining quality standards. A high standard of numeracy and literacy is therefore required. Computer skills are also required for this role. Applicants must be able to use initiative to solve problems and work proactively with minimal supervision. A knowledge of food safety and previous production experience or experience in a production/manufacturing environment sector would be advantageous.
