We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations in a fast-paced, multi-location state environment. This role requires a high level of accuracy, ownership, and consistent follow-through. This is a hybrid position based in Kent, WA (3 days in office). Remote work and relocation are not available.

What You’ll Do
- Support end-to-end payroll processing, including time review, adjustments, bonuses, and commissions
- Ensure accuracy of payroll data, documentation, and compliance with multi-state requirements
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, including pay and PTO inquiries
- Manage payroll-related inquiries and provide timely, clear communication to field teams
- Process garnishments, deductions, and required reporting
- Partner with the Payroll Manager on process improvements and system enhancements
- Develop expertise in ADP Workforce Now and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ 7 years of payroll experience
- Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines and maintaining high accuracy
- Ability to manage work independently and follow through without frequent oversight
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong communication skills and responsiveness in a team environment
- Multi-state payroll experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This position may also be eligible to participate in Lakefield’s annual incentive bonus program, subject to eligibility and plan terms.
