Responsible for washing, drying, folding, and organizing all in‑house linens. Ensure linen storage is clean, organized, and well labeled for quick replenishment. Restock laundry carts and housekeeping closets/storage areas with fresh linen. Follow appropriate protocol to ensure preventive maintenance on all laundry machines, such as removing lint traps frequently and properly cleaning washing machines. Separate any non‑recoverable stained or damaged items for donation; communicate any loss for inventory. Work with housekeeping leadership on linen recovery (deep stain removal). Communicate any ordering needs to housekeeping leadership. Work closely with third‑party linen vendors; receive and organize any incoming/departing rental linens. Communicate any lost and found items to front desk; report immediately and turn over for secure proper storage. Adhere to sign‑in/out procedures for department keys. Clean and organize the housekeeping area at the end of each shift, respectfully setting up the next shift for success. Adhere to security procedures for the handling of guest room and master keys. Communicate closely with other departments, such as when a guest reports a maintenance work order or front desk issue to be addressed. Assist guests with luggage, especially for large groups when needed. Attend departmental meetings and training sessions as required. Assist in training new staff as requested.

Compensation

This is an hourly, onsite position with the opportunity for part or full time hours and a starting wage of $17.00 per hour. Final compensation package offer is subject to change based on a variety of complex factors unique to each candidate, including experience, education, skill set, and applicable certifications.

  • Ability to visibly survey property areas clearly and use an eye for detail to inspect linens for cleanliness.
  • Ability to work outside in various weather at times, when traveling between guest rooms.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange information effectively.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
  • Ability to complete a satisfactory background check.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks, operate equipment, and complete job duties in a safe manner.
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs, including midweek and weekend days.
