The Role
As a Meteorologist, you will be responsible for delivering global weather forecasts ranging from within-day to seasonal timescales which accurately captures key changes in numerical weather prediction (NWP) and AI models and provides expert interpretation.
Supporting and communicating with clients, you will provide tailored weather intelligence and ensure that reports and presentations effectively translate complex meteorological data into clear, practical guidance to support client decision-making.
Additionally, you will:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Stay informed on the latest advancements in meteorology and forecasting technologies
- Conduct innovative meteorological analysis for client projects
- Undertake your own research, contributing to industry knowledge and presenting findings at conferences
About You
To be considered as a Meteorologist, you will need:
- Good coding skills, including .nc or .grib file analysis
- The ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Excellence in data analysis and interpretation
You will also need at least one of the following:
- An undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline
- Experience working as a professional Meteorologist
- Experience as an analyst or coder and a keen interest in, and understanding of, weather and weather models
