An exciting opportunity has arisen at our hotels in the beautiful Lake District for a Bar & Restaurant Assistant to join our award-winning teams. Working in a fast-paced environment, our Assistants are primarily be responsible for providing food and drink to our guests. This can involve direct table and bar service. The ideal candidate will be hard working, outgoing, friendly, reliable and someone who is passionate about providing great customer service and looking after our guests.
You will be responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of food and drink service within our rosette awarded restaurant bar and lounges.

Your main duties and responsibilities include:
- Arranging tables and assisting with the preparation of event spaces
- Greeting guests as they arrive at the venue, directing guests to tables, providing menus and taking orders
- Preparation for breakfast and dinner shifts
- Delivering food from the kitchen to guests at the table
- Keeping any bar and drink service areas fully stocked with beverages
- Taking drinks orders and serving drinks to guests at their table or throughout the venue
- Opening wine bottles at the table and pouring drinks for guests
- Wiping down tables and chairs, removing rubbish and clearing event spaces
- Dealing with Front of House pot wash
- Answering the telephone/some reception duties
Lake District Country Hotels adheres to the working time directive keeping hours between 40-48 unless overtime is requested. You will not be asked to work split shifts in our hotels.
The job is based on 35 hours per week peak season and 30 hours per week, off season.
