Main Duties
Develop ca. 50 Key accounts
Build an opportunity bank of between 100 – 200 opportunities
Drive a minimum £550k gross margin for the business unit
Manage existing accounts portfolio
Communicate with major customers on a regular basis and respond to specific queries
Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet customer needs
Act as the liaison between key customers and internal teams
Identify and approach new potential strategic customers
Develop relationships with suppliers of all key product groups
Obtain marketing information
Ensure adequate UK stock
Communicate with supplier partners (reports, sales figures, market information, product development
Cultivate new supplier partners.
Knowledge, Ability and Skills
Knowledge
Knowledge of the UK and global pharmaceutical pipeline, specifically in API’s, excipients, drug delivery systems and formulation markets
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Demonstrate sales experience in a B2B environment
Proven experiences as a Business Manager/Account Manager in the Life science Industry
Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Business acumen to attract and develop new supplier partners
Experience of using CRM software and MS Office
Solution seeking attitude

Excellent analytical and organisation skills
To create and maintain a profitable and sustainable Business Unit, specifically for Life science markets in the UK and supporting colleagues in the island of Ireland.
The Business Manager will develop long term business relationships with Key Customers. The role holder will create unique and compelling sales propositions for APIs, excipients, drug delivery systems and ubispoke®, our custom synthesis brand.
The Business Manager will interrogate all tools available to develop new opportunities to grow their business unit. They will promote opportunities for customers to work with Innovation Services and Manufacturing Services.
