Hello, we're Laka. You might not have heard of us yet - that's OK, you've found us now - come and find out more about our journey. Founded in 2017, Laka set out to transform insurance by connecting passionate cyclists to form a collective and protect their bikes for when things go wrong - a better model for insurance was born. For once people come first in insurance by fairly sharing the cost amongst each other. We exist to rewrite the rules of insurance so it’s something people stand with, not against.

Our model: Laka makes sure everything runs smoothly for The Collective - from exceptionally fast claims, splitting the cost fairly, guaranteeing a maximum price and all the other heavy lifting of a regulated insurance business. For that service, the collective pays Laka a fee relative to the claims in a month.

We’re growing real fast on our path to make the Laka collective model the industry standard and we’re expanding across segments, products, and territories. We’re looking for innovative, bold and brave minds to help us build the world’s best insurance company.

About The Role

We are looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to drive customer engagement, retention, and growth. In this role, you will develop targeted lifecycle marketing campaigns, manage essential customer communications, and optimise website content to enhance conversion. You'll also design automated workflows and nurture streams, leveraging CRM tools to create seamless customer journeys. If you have a passion for data-driven marketing, automation, and customer experience, we’d love to hear from you!

Lifecycle Marketing

  • Develop lifecycle stages based on customer data (e.g., new sign-up, conversion, retention, win-back) and design campaigns for each stage.
  • Execute CRM campaigns to drive activation, engagement, retention, and upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
  • Be accountable for our essential transactional customer communications.
  • Personalise messaging based on customer segmentation.

Website Management

  • Ensure that the website effectively communicates product benefits and maximises conversion into the product experience.

Automation and Workflow Development

  • Design and implement automated workflows and nurture streams for different segments and lifecycle stages.
  • Use our CRM tool to set up triggers, rules, and workflows that guide customers through the journey.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in high-growth D2C company.
  • Strong technical marketing skills and hands-on experience working with CRM platforms required.
  • Experience working with CMS platforms preferred, desire to learn a must.
  • Experience working with Customer.io, Webflow and coding languages (liquid, CSS, HTML) are an advantage.

What success looks like

  • Measurable improvement in the performance of our CRM campaigns and Website metrics.
  • Quality of the customer experience as delivered through the website and our emails is significantly improved.

Collaborating with other teams

  • Work with the Market Leads to develop customer segments, positioning and messaging.
  • Work with the Market Leads and Product Manager to deliver CRM campaigns.

And just so you know, Insurance experience isn’t required (for most roles). We’ll teach you anything you need to know and upskill you if needed. But… before you apply, please make sure that you have permission to work in the UK, NL or France as we’re unable to provide visa sponsorship for any of our current roles.

Benefits

  • Remote-first way of working - you choose whether you work from home or our beautiful offices in London, Bristol and Amsterdam.
  • Share options - we want you to be rewarded for Laka's success - everyone in the business is granted share options when they join.
  • Performance driven scheme - if the company hits its targets, you’ll get a cash bonus of 5% of your base salary annually.
  • Annual leave - 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), with the option to roll over up to 5 days per year.
  • Pension scheme - Laka pays 3% of your base salary into your pension to help you save for the future.
