London Academy of IT is a professional training provider based in Stratford, East London. We deliver practical, career-focused courses to help learners develop valuable digital and technical skills. We are now looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable trainer to teach essential computer and Microsoft Office skills to beginners.

Role Overview

We are seeking a patient, friendly, and engaging tutor who can confidently teach adult learners how to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable introducing learners to basic computer operations, the Windows environment, and everyday digital tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructor‑led training sessions (online or in‑person) for beginner‑level learners
  • Teach core computer skills including using Windows, file management, internet browsing, email, and digital safety
  • Provide clear demonstrations and practical exercises in:
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Microsoft Outlook (preferred but not essential)
    • Microsoft Teams (preferred but not essential)
  • Offer individual support and guidance to help learners build confidence
  • Prepare teaching materials and follow course outlines
  • Provide feedback and track learner progress

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience teaching adults or training in a classroom/online environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, supportive way
